Four days in Goa with a resort near Candolim beach, a day along the northern beaches and forts, and a day among the churches of Old Goa.
A short, easy break. You stay three nights at a resort with a pool, a few minutes from Candolim beach, with airport transfers and two half-day tours by private car.
One day follows the coast north from Fort Aguada to Vagator; the other goes inland to the 16th-century churches of Old Goa and ends with a sunset cruise on the Mandovi river. The rest of the time is yours.
Pick-up from the airport or railway station and transfer to the resort. Walk down to Candolim beach for the sunset and dinner at a beach shack.
Start at Fort Aguada, the 17th-century Portuguese fort and lighthouse above the Mandovi. Continue to Calangute and Baga for water sports, then Anjuna and the red cliffs of Vagator under Chapora Fort.
Visit the Basilica of Bom Jesus, where the relics of St Francis Xavier are kept, and Se Cathedral opposite. Stop at Mangeshi Temple, walk the coloured lanes of Fontainhas and take the evening cruise on the Mandovi with Goan music and dance.
Breakfast and a free morning until the transfer to the airport or railway station.
